Support Programmes

The Special Remedial programme at Queens Preparatory School supports students who are assessed as performing more than one grade level below expectations and who are therefore unable to meet the academic requirements of the regular classroom setting. Support is largely academic in nature and is delivered through an Individual Education Plan, while Resource Room Services in the Kindergarten Department provide remedial help in Reading, Mathematics, and Phonics for children from Kindergarten to Grade 3.

One swimming lesson per week, lasting one hour, is included in the regular timetable for all classes. This activity is optional but highly recommended and is provided at an additional cost of JMD 6,000 per term, which is approximately 10 lessons.
